The Ridgetop Shawnee Tribe of Indians, also known as the Ridgetop Band of Shawnee, are a local group of people of Native American heritage who descend from Southeastern Kentucky's earliest mix-raced settlers. Many people of mixed heritage (White, Native American and African American) settled the rugged mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, Southwestern Virgina and Northeastern Tennessee in the late 18th and early to mid 19th centuries.
We formed in 2003, officially, with the goal of exploring our Native American heritage and to assist our youth and elderly. Our main goal is to teach our children of our Father and his Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Hello My grandmother I have photos was a Melungeon She looked Full Blood Native American she was from Magoffin County. She was not enrolled but I can give you color pictures & a DNA test I had done at the DNA Diagnostic Center that proves i'm 16% Native American and also some African DNA. I'm clearly one of the Native decedents of Eastern Kentucky. I'm young I'm only 18 I have been desperately trying to contact this tribe and enroll. Please I know enrollment is closed but if you could just let me apply for membership. You might still have my original application. I'm not sure if you know of this Native American Christian Church, but the Church would be a perfect fit for this Tribe to worship God. Heres a link: www.agnaf.com
